I moved to Florida in 2009 from Oklahoma, where I had an 80-acre farm with many pets as well as livestock. I started working with animals, first at a veterinary clinic and then at a local zoo, in 1984 and have done so ever since. I’ve been lucky to work with large animals, small animals, avian and exotics. I have been riding horses since I was four, and until recently I cared for my aged thoroughbred TB. I enjoy riding my Harley with my dog, Thistle Weed, and riding the waves with my other dog, Blackberry. When I am at home, I read voraciously.
